Congrats to Whistler Ski Cross Champs

Big Congratulations to our very own home town Whistler girls Ashleigh McIvor and Julia Murray on their amazing World Cup wins on Sunday, January 10, 2010 in Les Contamines, France.
Our girl Ashleigh took 1st place, and Julia took 2nd place during the FIS Freestyle World Cup Women’s Ski Cross. No wimpy ski cross skiers, from this part of the world! We are all very excited to see what our girls can do next month in Vancouver, this is shaping up to be an incredible Olympics.

I have started to get caught up in the skicross through watching the winter olympics in Canada. On first sight it appeared like a way to drop on your bottom or break a arm but now I reckon it has all the exhilaration of a tearaway race through a shopping mall. At the moment I am getting as much as I am able on the competition from the Web. Then after that I will be lining up someplace to have a try like the local roller ball dome. Do you need to be really unhinged?
